As parents of highly intuitive children of any age, we know they feel the world more deeply. Their compassionate and empathic hearts are their greatest gifts, and they often see beyond what most of us do. But in a world where holiday giving often focuses on material things, how do we teach our children that true generosity isn’t about the gifts but the love and thoughtfulness behind each act of giving?

Generosity isn’t measured by how much or what we give but by the love and care we put into it.
Highly intuitive children already sense the energy of connection; they feel it in their relationships, surroundings, and even the smallest gestures. Our role as parents is to help them see that their empathic hearts are what make their giving so powerful.
Start by showing them that generosity can take many forms. Invite your child into moments of giving that come from the heart, like writing a kind note to a neighbor, baking cookies for someone who needs a little cheer, or donating time to a cause your family values. Explain to them that these acts of love are like sending ripples of kindness into the world.
When conversations around holiday gifts come up, remind your child that it's not about receiving things--it's about feeling the love and thoughtfulness behind each gesture. Encourage them to focus on the connections, not the object. This helps them understand that giving isn't limited to special occasions; it's something they do every day.
By modeling these values and encouraging small, heartfelt acts of kindness, we help our highly intuitive kids see that their empathy is their greatest strength. Let’s help them see that their greatest gift is their ability to share love in big and small ways, making every day a little brighter.
As we guide our children through this holiday season and beyond, let’s show them that the greatest gift they can offer the world is their open heart.
May we nurture these little lights and help them carry the spirit of generosity with them all year long.
Wishing you and your family a holiday season filled with love, light, and joy.
